Change an IP address in windows 7 or 8

For a normal computer user it is difficult to change an IP address for computer.

IP Address is the internet protocol address which is numerical, and is identification of  your  system on network. IP address is necessary for connecting to internet and interanet.

But when we want to change it to connect some particular devices like Router, Computers Mobile phone, we cannot find where this option has given.

Here I will show you how to change IP address by your requirement.

Just follow this steps.

Step 1-

Click on start or just take cursor in start menu and find control panel. You can find it by seach option also. Open control panel. Or just right click on your wireless lan card or lan card and select network and sharing centre. This is located on your taskbar beside of time and date.

Step 2-

Click on network and sharing centre, it will open a new window. Right side of that window you can find option change adapter setting, just click on that.

Step 3-

Now you can see wireless and wired network adapters in that window, just  right click on that network adapter which you want to change IP address, now select properties.

Step 4-

It will open properties of that adapter, scroll down and find “Internet protocol version 4 (TCP\IPv4) “.  Select that and click on properties, it will open new dialog box where default you will be in general tab and by default it is selected to Obtain an IP address automatically.

Step 5-

Now just select Use the following IP address, and enter required IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, if you want to give DNS server address select Use the following DNS address and enter required DNS address.
