Add any favourite application to Context Menu

Share it Please
Whenever you want to open any application or software, you have to go to desktop or shortcut and if you are at any other windows like D drive, E drive, then need to come out from every window and select application from start menu this all windows you have to minimize and it will waste our time. By following some steps you can add your favourite software, application in right click context menu, and can open applications from any window, need not to close or minimize any window.

Here I am going to tell you how to do this.....

If you are facing any problem to do this please see this video.

I am taking example of notepad application, you can use any software depend upon your requirement.

Step 1-
Go to start and click on Run, in Run type “regedit” and click OK or open C drive then Windows then system 32 and find regedt32.exe file and open it. Now new window will open “Registry Editor”

Step 2-
Browse down to the below key
“HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell”
Right click on “shell” and select “new key” and give any name as you wish, here I am giving “Notepad”. Now right click on “Notepad”  and select again new key and give name “command” only in lowercase. To complete this step you will need  the full path of the application which you want to add or launch.

Step 3-
Open C:\windows\system32. You can see notepad application (notepad.exe) file is available there. Now hold Shift k key on your keyboard and right click on “notepad.exe”. select “copy as path”.

Step 4-
Now click on “command”  on the left side, and then double click on the (Default) key in the right side to edit the string value. Now paste full path of the Executable file which you have copied from “copy as path” option from step 3. It will show like "C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe".

Now just minimize or close Registry Editor and right click anywhere you will find that Notepad has added to your Context menu.
