Repartition Drives without loosing your data

Share it Please

During installing of windows we can create only 4 partitions(drive, volume), but if we want to create more than 4 partitions or want to create a separate drive for purticular data, we just bother about our important data because there is a chance to loose our important data, and previously versions of windows(xp) dont allow us to create new partition or drive without deleting that drive.
again taking backup and creating new partition its wastage of our specious time. But new versions of windows like windows7, windows vista have a magic option called as "shrink volume".
with this option we can create new partition without disturbing that drive, how much free space available in that drive can be use for new drive. and if there is free (unallocated) space in your hard drive so it can be add with any drive by using another magic option called "Extend volume".

and taking benefit from this options you need not to ask or call any engineer, you can do it by yourself it is very easy,
Dont depend on others be your own master...
Here I am going to tell you how to do it...in simple steps...

Step 1-
Click on Start menu and my cmputer will appear, or it is available on desktop.
Right click on my computer and click on Manage.

Step 2-
It will open a new window named computer management, just select Storage and under storage click on Disk Management. now you can see status of your partitions created on your Hard disk.

Step 3-
Select any drive which you want to create separate new partition by using free space of that drive, selected drive should be free as you want.

Step 4-
Now just right click on the drive and select Shrink volume. it will open a new window where you can enter the amount of space to create a new drive or volume. after entering the amount just click on Shrink.

Step 5-
It will take a little amount of time and your can see one new unallocated space has seperated from your hard disk. now just right click on that and click on new simple volume, enter amount of simple volume size in MB and click on next.

Step 6-
Assign a drive letter click next, select format this volume with particular file system like NTFS or FAT32 or exFAT, check box perform s quick format and click on next and finish.

Step 7-
Now you have created new drive you can use it from my computer, and if you want to want to revert it as before so you can add this drive with your old drive, just select your old drive from which you have separated this new volume and right click on it and click on extend volume, your new volume will mix to your old drive.

Note:- this options only supports on windows vista, windows 7 or latest virsion of windows.
