Add Your Gmail Account on Microsoft Outlook

Main advantage of configuring a Gmail account on Microsoft Outlook is you can see your all downloaded mails when you are not connected to Internet. And require not providing username and password again and again on any browser. It will save your mails copy on your personal computer or Laptop besides Gmail server. You can see your see your important mails in your inbox or sent mails. It is very easy because here i am going to tell you how to configure it on your personal Laptop or PC.

Step 1

Once login to your Gmail account by providing username and password. Now go to setting by clicking right side of Gmail setting icon and select settings, then click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP. In IMAP Access field select radio button Enable IMAP. Now click on Save Changes and sign out from your Gmail Account.

Step 2

Open your Microsoft office outlook from programs or apps. Go to Tools and click on Account Setting. New window will appear for account setting, now click on Email tab click on New. Select Microsoft Exchange,POP3,IMAP, or HTTP and click on Next.

Step 3

From Auto Account Setup check the box Manually configure server settings or additional server types click on Next. Again click on next without any changes in Choose Email Service. Provide Your name and Gmail Address Example- ravindra.test@gmail.com , Select Account type IMAP from drop down box. Type imap.gmail.com at Incoming mail server and smtp.gmail.com in Outgoing mail server, type your Gmail Address and password in next field and check the box Remember Password.

Step 4

Click on More Settings tab, go to Outgoing Server tab and check the box My outgoing server requires authentication. Now click on Advanced tab and At Incoming server (IMAP) enter port number 993 and select SSL from drop down menu. At Outgoing server (SMTP) enter port number 465 and select SSL and click on OK.

Step 5

Click on Next and Finish. Now close Account setting Window. It will take time to download Mails from Gmail server and save it to your Laptop or PC. Now Gmail outlook is ready for Use.
